Every facet of Parkade exists to make parking management easier for onsite teams, and we’re excited to announce a new feature that does just that: Parkade Patrol. Onsite teams or anyone you delegate Patrol to can now quickly check for unauthorized vehicles right in the Parkade app.
Parkade Patrol makes enforcement simpler, faster, and more powerful than ever before. You can simply pull up a list of unleased spots via the Parkade app, then head to the parking lot or garage to see if they’re empty.
When you point Parkade Patrol at a car, we’ll instantly transcribe the license plate — reducing typing errors and confirming whether or not that car is allowed to park there. If it’s authorized to park somewhere different, we’ll tell you where, so your team can know if someone just parked one spot away from their proper spot (hopefully by accident).
A major goal of this new Patrol tab is to make it easy for you, your on-site team, your security team or anyone to whom you’ve delegated Patrol privileges to quickly check for unauthorized vehicles. If you’ve been thinking about doing more proactive enforcement, now’s a great time to start!
Now, for assigned parking scenarios, you can quickly filter the list for unleased spots that should be vacant. Then, whoever’s patrolling can swipe right to remove spots they’ve already checked from the list.Â
Fun fact: Patrol even works with no cell reception, designed to make parking enforcement sweeps and one-off problem reports a breeze –– even on the lowest levels of your garage. Any reports made with connectivity will be sent in seconds. When connectivity isn’t available, the app will retry later once internet connection is available.Â
Patrol is available for authorized admins in the Parkade mobile app as a new tab called “Patrol”.
Soon, teams will also have the option to grant Patrol tab access to a trusted individual (e.g., security staff, long term residents, etc.). These individuals will have access to the Patrol tab in the app, but they won’t be able to see any resident information or other admin tools.
Right now, the Patrol tab is best for assigned parking, but we will be rolling out full support for unassigned parking spots in the near future.
Property management teams all over the world are using Parkade to streamline parking operations at their apartment community. If you’re still using traditional methods to manage and enforce parking –– like spreadsheets and decals –– then it might be time for an upgrade.
