At Parkade, our mission is simple: to make both managing and booking parking as intuitive and painless as possible. So we’re thrilled to announce one of the most significant leaps forward this year: the launch of dynamic maps across our mobile and web applications. 

Our previous mapping experience was like printing out directions from MapQuest. They got the job done, but they didn’t capture the detail and clarity needed when you’re trying to visualize exactly where you’re going to park your car. Especially while you’re on the go. 

Our new dynamic maps are like the moment you first tried out Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps on your smartphone. 

A Visual Revolution in Parking

The introduction of dynamic maps transforms the way you interact with Parkade. This isn't just a minor update; it's a fundamental upgrade to the core of our booking experience.

Here’s what you can look forward to with this exciting new feature:

Know exactly what you’re booking

For the first time, you will be able to see a detailed, interactive map of the parking facility. Pinch, zoom, rotate or go 3D. Details like spot numbers, spot features, etc will be hidden or shown as you zoom in and out, and we’ll make it clear where the elevators, stairs and gates are. 

With dynamic maps, we are giving you a clear, visual confirmation of the parking space you’ll be using.

Color-coded spots

Say goodbye to scrolling through long lists! 

When you search for parking within a building, our dynamic maps will visually highlight exactly which spots are available for your chosen time, dramatically speeding up your booking process. The map can become your primary search tool, making finding the perfect spot faster and easier than ever before.

Rebuilt, intuitive search flow

With our list-focused search and our static maps, we were asking you to trust a number or spend minutes poking around a massive static image of a map. Our search flow has been rebuilt with maps in mind, and you can now choose between using the list view to see your parking options, or pick a spot on the map itself! 

How This Helps Our Customers

For our customers who own or manage parking lots via Parkade, dynamic maps are a huge unlock. On top of your parkers having an easier time booking and finding their physical parking spot, dynamic maps mean: 

• Parkers will be able to easily find the best spot for their needs, and book that. Rather than viewing a list of spots based on price, they get a new view that focuses on quality. Which is great for your parkers, and great for your bottom line if you use our revenue management features. 
• Property managers will have a special web-based version of this map you’ll be able to access. If you ever need to see your entire community’s parking at a glance and see which spots are available, available soon, or unavailable, you’ll be able to do that in our web dashboard.
  
  

A Phased Rollout to Our Community

We know you're eager to start using this incredible new feature, and we’re working to bring it to everyone as quickly as possible.

We’ve begun to roll out dynamic maps to our user base and existing Parkade properties. Only a select few properties have dynamic maps already, but we plan to roll it out to every community on Parkade by early January.

The launch of dynamic maps represents a major leap forward for the customer experience. Helping you visualize the parking you're booking and finding your spot with clarity and ease is a fundamental improvement that we are incredibly proud of.

However, our work is far from done. We have many more exciting improvements planned for Parkade, including a number of upgrades to make the experience even better. Parkade is already the best way for a building to manage its parking — and we’re going to make sure we remain the best.
